I grew up in the small town of Vinita, OK, and attended Oklahoma State University, where I played varsity football for four years before accepting a graduate assistant position on the coaching staff. After the year was up, I took teaching and coaching positions in Splendor, Texas, before moving back to Oklahoma and accepting the same teaching and coaching positions in Pryor to be closer to my family. Then in 1977, after hearing that our local State Farm agent was retiring, I made the decision to change careers and have loved helping people protect the people, places, and things they love most ever since. Since then, two of my brothers, one of my nephews, and my daughter have followed me in joining the State Farm family. In the past, I have served as the President of the Pryor School Board, a board member of the Boys and Girls Club and the Pryor Chamber of Commerce, and the campaign chairman of Mayes County United Way. When I’m not in the office, I enjoy hunting, volunteering, and spending time with my wife, two children, and six grandkids. My team and I take pride in the fact that, after 48 years of service, we are now serving our third generation of State Farm customers. I love being a part of this community and look forward to helping it continue to thrive for years to come.
